Road Construction Starts in Neelin Valley Area
Work begins on a new stretch linking Glenboro to Cartwright as hydro crews clear the Glenboro and Cartwright sectors. The plan includes 12 foot road beds, large culverts, and a 200 foot bridge with engineer Bill Campbell of Brandon in charge. Once finished, the route will connect Manitoba and North Dakota via a first class highway.

A funeral service for Harry Lalonde, lifelong Glenboro resident and WWI veteran, was held November 11 at 2 pm at the Glenboro United Church. Rev. Millard officiated with interment in Glenboro cemetery. Pallbearers were Len Thornborough, Harold Jackson, Lawrence Coates, Norman Wayte, Alex Gibbs, and Walter Drinkwater. He is survived by three brothers Percy, Syd, and Otto of Glenboro, and two sisters Mrs. Les Drinkwater of Glenboro and Mrs. Stella Marsh of Winnipeg.
