MAST Meeting at Notre Dame Delivers Salary Reform Plan
The South Central Region of the Manitoba Association of School Trustees gathered at Notre Dame de Lourdes on October 31 to push six reforms in salary negotiations. Trustees from Midland Mountain Pembina Valley Pine Creek Tiger Hills and Western divisions supported the proposals, arguing they benefit both teachers and trustees and reduce bargaining friction. A resolution urged MAST to seek legislative changes and to push for non-unitary divisions to become unitary by legislation with broad board support and a 35 percent petition, no referendum needed.

4-H Leaders Conference Set for Rathwell Hall on Nov 18
The AG Rep notes the Fall semi annual 4-H Leaders Conference at Rathwell Memorial Hall on Thursday November 18 at 6 30 p m. Tom Mooney will discuss Leader Training and lead discussion groups. A new grant program starts January 1969 giving each member 150 in two 75 portions from provincial and Dominion governments. A junior leaders committee will be formed to assist and will continue on Page Five.

Elk Season Planned Around Riding Mountain National Park
Manitoba wildlife officials announce a special elk season from December 2 to 21 in game hunting area 23 near Riding Mountain National Park. Licenses costing 20 dollars go to resident hunters via a draw with a one elk bag limit. applications must include return postage and read Elk License on the envelope.

Remembrance Day Service Held in Glenboro
The November 11 Remembrance Day service took place at the Lutheran Church with Pastor M Green Rev G Millard and Mr P Shepherd taking part. Last Post and Reveille were sounded by Ben Johnson before and after two minutes of silence followed by a wreath laying at the Cenotaph.

Holland Handi Maids Hold Second Meeting
The Holland Handi Maids met on November 4 with 27 members. Members agreed vests for uniforms be owned by the club and each new member would pay $1.00 to join. Plans were made to raise funds and the next meeting is December 2 at the Elementary School.

The Ladies Aid entertained the Senior Citizens of the district to a dinner on Tuesday November 5. Mrs. Gerald Rutherford welcomed guests and A McGorman offered the blessing. Mrs. D Galbraith won oldest lady present and most descendants with 55. Mr. R Bailey was oldest gentleman. James Leader couple longest married at 54 years. W Bussey praised guests. Others assisting included numerous club members.
