Atkins Rink Wins 11th Lady Sahara Bonspiel in Glenboro
Bev Atkins of Manitou captained the undefeated Atkins rink to the 11th Lady Sahara Bonspiel title in Glenboro held November 8 to 10. They earned 750 dollars and camel trophies, defeating Ruth Barr’s Glenboro rink in the final rounds. Barr's squad and Sally Braithwaite's Winnipeg team collected 450 dollars in prizes.

Tiger Hills Trustees Take Oath of Office in 1985 86
The Tiger Hills School Division No. 29 held its inaugural 1985 86 board meeting in Glenboro Manitoba on November 5 1985 at 8 00 pm. Trustees Gerald Rutherford John Chambers Stephen Bjornson and others attended as new officers were sworn in with Rutherford elected chairman and Chambers vice chairman. Regular meetings set for second and fourth Tuesdays with time changes by season.

Todd Rolfe son of Jim and Joyce Rolfe with two crew members stopped at Glenboro Airport on Friday afternoon. They were returning to Edmonton with a freshly painted helicopter and spoke about its two 900 horsepower turbo engines and a redundant engine option. The group plans to head to Egypt to participate in Canada’s Peacekeeping duties, with nine helicopters and crews loaded into a single transport aircraft.

National President Visits District Kinsmen in Glenboro
About 50 Kin family members attended a sit down breakfast at the Kinsmen Community Hall in Glenboro on November 6. The meal was prepared and served by Kinsmen and Kineties Club members as National President Howard Phee of King City Ontario and District Governor Moe Girard of Kenora Ontario toured District II visiting clubs along the route.
