The Blood Donors Clinic on October 21st drew 238 volunteers, with 214 contributing. Seventy six donors were from Glenboro, and 70 could give. Children raised 108.75 for UNICEF despite wet snowy weather. The next clinic will be held in Glenboro.
Birthday greetings to Mrs. Harry Thornborough as she marks her 92nd birthday today. She enjoys good health and remains active with family friends neighbors and the Patricia Ladies Aid.
An eight week sales promotion and clinic will start Wednesday with a dinner for participating business people at the Motel. Speaker M Bradshaw, a Canadian with years of campaigns in Canada and the U S, will lead the clinic. The Glenboro Gazette sponsors the event.
The Men’s Bridge Club met to plan wider membership and a mixed club including ladies. They seek a dedicated club room and invite interested players to contact members or call 95 or 232. The first session is planned for Wednesday November 17 at the Elementary School, weekly or biweekly.
Mr. and Mrs. Shef Hadden of Cabri Sask visited at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Smith for a few days. Rev Farough and friend Jerry Curial of Whitehorse spent weeks at the home of the former's parents, Mr and Mrs Roy Farough. Mr and Mrs Lew Dalman left Sunday for Bismark ND to attend a Dealers Convention.

The Remembrance Day Service takes place November 11 at 10 45 am in Glenboro Legion Hall followed by a parade to the Cenotaph for wreath laying at 11 30 am Ex service members and interested citizens are welcome to attend.
Open house at 1111 Leonard St Victoria B C on Nov 24 honors Mr and Mrs R N Rawlings on their 60th wedding anniversary. He born in London England she in Glasgow Scotland married Waldron Sask 1911. They lived in Waldron Yorkton Glenboro before retiring to Victoria comment.
Former Treeshank resident Dr. Stuart Criddle of Sidney and St Albans died October 22 at 93. He was laid to rest October 30 at Criddle Cemetery Avenue with graveside rites by Rev Tindale and Legion. Survived by wife Kathleen son Percy daughter Anne sister Maida brothers Evelyn Talbot and many relatives. Criddle famed Manitoba naturalist and honorary doctor of science Brandon University 1968 member of Manitoba Museum of Natural History and North American Lily Assn.
