Turf Club Appreciation Night Supports Artificial Ice Project
South Central Turf Club held its annual Appreciation Night in the Legion Hall on October 30. The event included a $1,000 presentation to the Artificial Ice Club to aid completion of their installation. Supper was followed by music and entertainment by Ivan, Pearl and Garry Dowd, with Vera Thomas and Ken Northey also noted.

The Glenboro Twelfth Annual Lady Sahara Bonspiel opens Friday November 14 1986 at 5:00 p.m. with 16 rinks including one from Edmonton. prize purse 1650 dollars awards 750 to winner 450 to runner up and four camel trophies. Draws run Friday through Sunday with community events Sahara supper calcutta social and music by Janie Farmer All-Girl Orchestra. Official opening Saturday at 11:00 a.m.

Decoration of Chivalry Ceremony in Glenboro Manitoba
On Sunday November 2 1986 the Decoration of Chivalry was conferred in Kinsmen Hall Glenboro by Canton No 2 and the Ladies Auxiliary with help from Fort Garry Canton No 1 and their Auxiliary on three Rebekah Sisters Irene Brown Rachel 29 Glenboro Isabel Van dusen Excelsior 70 Hartney and Mabel Fitz simmons Margaret Rose Carberry 30. The event featured Reid Cummings on drums Kevin East trumpet Sylvia Witherspoon assisting the soloists and great grandchildren Shellsey Brendin Dubuts aiding in pinning jewels. The ceremony drew a large audience and refreshments followed.
