Glenboro hosts its 24th annual Lady Sahara Bonspiel from November 6 to 8 with 16 invited teams led by defending champion Joyce McDougall. Prize purse totals 1800 dollars, with 800 to the champion and 500 to the runner up, plus camel trophies and public events at Kinsmen Hall and the curling club.

Prairie Spirit School Division 50 held its first election on October 28. Pat Sparling won Ward 1 with 352 votes. Marvin Anderson led Ward 2 with 410 votes. Kathy Noel topped Ward 3 with 177 votes.
