A two day event in the 4H Building Exhibition Grounds starts with a 5:30 get acquainted hour and beef producer Bull Session at 8 pm on November 17 at the Canadian Inn. The Friday program begins at 9:30 with registration and a 10 am meeting, dinner at noon, and 1:45 pm panel on A Bright Future for the Beef Industry Fact or Fantasy featuring Mrs. V. Fulton Dr. G. of extension division U of M and Lorne Parker with Dr. Fred J. Kiatte as guest speaker on Feedlot Practices. Banquet at 6:30 pm at the 4-H Building with entertainment and dance. About 200 children attended the Ofidfellows wall event in Glenboro despite cold weather. Prizes honored 12 student winners across grades 1 to 6, Kiwanis spent about 45 dollars on snacks and prizes, and the event raised 92.19 dollars for UNICEF.

Guidelines Set For Western Manitoba Development Summit
Nearly 100 civic leaders gathered in Western Manitoba with speakers including Dr Baldur Kristianson and Brand and Keith Bradley to discuss the Who and What of regional development. Ministers Sidriéy Spivak Henry Enns outlined department roles and programs to support communities, agriculture, tourism, recreation and intermunicipal efforts. Delegates formed six groups to draft guidelines in areas such as industry resources water education and Inter-Municipal affairs for Western Manitoba.
