Margaret Pulver of Bois Sevain has been chosen by Canada Post to run the Glenboro Post Office. Canada Post Media Relations Officer Brian Gargan confirmed on May 21 she begins her duties July 5 1993 and is moving to Glenboro.
Glenboro hosts its 3rd annual townwide yard sale this Saturday with over 40 sales planned. The Mercantile Committee of Glenboro Community Development coordinates the event and maps show booked locations prior to May 23. Community bargains await.
Development Corporation hosts a Sunday event at the Agricultural Grounds in Glenboro inviting newcomers over the past three years to join from 1:00 p.m. Games and social time lead to a 4:00 p.m. program and a potluck supper around 5:00. Host couples and individuals are asked to bring newcomers.
Festival of Nations at Swan Lake enters its 6th year with eight ethnic groups including Ojibway Belgium Dutch French German Ukrainian Icelandic and British Heritage. Halls rinks schools sheds and tents prepare as musicians singers and dancers rehearse costumes stored for the event.
The Glenboro Gazette announces wide circulation reaching more than 4,000 area homes this week to promote the Townwide Yard Sale. The free distribution marks about a 500 percent rise from normal paid circulation, with future wide coverage expected in the summer months.
