Elin Johnson and Lynne Sanderson earned Honors in their respective grades, while Margaret Curll Jean Scott Lou Gunnlaugson Evelyn Diehl Kathleen Hyde and Kathleen Chewings also achieved high passes and First Class Honors in the recent assessments.

Zig-Zaggers Hold Year End Club Meeting

The Gienboro Zig-Zaggers Clothing Club held its final meeting of the year on Friday June 15 inviting mothers. Rallies at Portage la Prairie and Holland were discussed and the year’s work reviewed. Girls received club pins and special prizes while leaders got pins. The social portion followed.

Strawberry Social at St Thutedey Guild Picnic

The Ladies Guild hosts a strawberry social with baseball races and a refreshment booth on June 28. Salad plates and shortcake served at 5 pm. 25¢ for children under 12 and 50¢ for adults. Hilton man wins hospital aid turkey donation

Clifford Dunn of Hilton won the hospital aid turkey donated by Mrs. Arnold Steer. Proceeds from ticket sales totaled 325.10. Mrs. Frank Green and relatives from Winnipeg visited Miss S. McNabb of Brussells Ontario. Miss Marlene Wallace hosted guests at Cartwright with several Winnipeg and Dauphin residents.

Glenboro lost to Wawanesa 7-1 at home but defeated Wawanesa 13-4 in an away game on Thursday. A Glenboro golf tournament is set for Sunday June 24 with an 18 hole format and a hole in one contest starting at 8:30 AM.
