The eleventh meeting of the Tiger Hills School Division No 29 Board held June 12 1979 in Glenboro discussed salary schedules. Trustees Anderson Catcheway and Chambers were absent. Minutes of the previous meeting were adopted.
Bernie Beet urges juniors to display garden signs with first name and 4-H, notes the sign earns 10 points, and reminds proper watering to moisten soil to three inches. Finance Committee approvals authorize payments and the 1977 salary schedule for Individual Teachers is approved with salary adjustments and an addendum to the 1978 agreement authorized for signatory by the Chairman and Secretary-treasurer. July and August meeting dates are tentatively set.

Thirty seven players from Belmont Baldur Glenora Rathwell Treherne Holland Cypress River and Glenboro competed in a best ball foursome. Treherne claimed the trophy on a count back to the sixth hole, with Pat Metcalfe Doug Metcalfe Scott Smart and Wayne McConnell. Glenboro placed second led by Art Barton Mel Ham Stuart Murray and Dave Prost.
The Glenboro school calendar lists events from June 20 band performance at noon to June 29 Recognition Day and Graduation events. Meetings for Grade IX parents, high school program talks, and Student Council elections are planned with nominations closed and elections set for Thursday noon.
A ladies golf draw is scheduled for Wednesday June 20 at Alma Pennycook’s club.
