Pasture Water Pipelines Boost Cattle Farms in Prairie Region

The Tiger Hills Conservation District helped farmers in 2002 by installing over 30 kms of shallow buried PVC pasture pipeline using a borrowed plough. THCD later bought a heavier plough funded by PFRA and Ducks Unlimited Canada to install larger diameter pipe. Hamco Cattle Company installed 12000 feet of pipeline that year and plans similar work to expand their system. For details call THCD at 535-2139.

Earl Garnett obituary veteran and family man

Erlington William Earl Garnett died June 6 2003 at Ross Memorial Hospital aged 93 94. He was husband of the late Annie Graham Garnett and father of Barbara and Scott McMurray. Grandfather of Ian McMurray and Paul McMurray. A Masonic service was held at Lorne Lodge 375 Omemee and a funeral followed. Interment later. Donations to charity preferred.
