From sand greens to grass greens: 75 years of Glenboro golf
The Glenboro Golf and Country Club in Manitoba traces its history to 1922 starting as the 4 E Club with a casual driving range at the fairgrounds. Volunteers built bunkers, greens, and the first clubhouse, shifting from sand to grass greens in 1969, expanding the course and adding an irrigation system, and growing membership to about 250 by 1997.
