Prince Rupert to Rise as Pacific Coast Terminus City

Prince Rupert is planned as the Grand Trunk Pacific Railway’s Pacific coast terminus with 24,009 acres granted for the city’s growth. The first town subdivision will open around May 1 with 2,600 residents projected, and a landscape plan by Brett and Hall guides streets and boulevards to fit the terrain and harbor. The harbor is deep and clear, rail progress links Winnipeg to the coast, and industry including salmon, fishing, whaling, timber, and mining awaits rail completion.
