The Captains and their helpers worked into late Saturday evening for Tag Day. Most contributors held some keepsake of the event. The total contributions reached 3 dollars and 70 cents, with a Treestank bringing in 20 dollars at Stockton.

Dead at 23 Troggvi Oleson Remembered by Friends

Troggvi Oleson, 23, died after a three year battle with consumption. He spent six months in a Wes ton Ontario sanitorium and lived near the river at John Mayland's. He worked at Steel's crossing ferry but found it too hard. Interment will be at Skalholt cemetery Friday afternoon.

A wedding took place on June 1 at the Dowd home near Glenboro for Emma Alice Dowd and Alfred Frederick Wood. Rev. The Glenboro Fair organizers urge residents to support this year’s event. They boast the largest prize list ever offered and invite participation from all. highlighting local horses cattle sheep swine and pure bred poultry to compete with provincial teams.

Oldest Pair of Spectacles in Canada Exhibit

The oldest spectacles in Canada were shown this morning by Wmn. McConnell at the office. Eyesight specialist Chas. J. Western visited town and discussed the device with locals. The copper framed glasses came in a wooden box carved by hand and were handed down through generations, with a claim of about 3400 years old.

Baron Spaniard Stallion to Stand in Manitoba Season

The royally bred Baron Spaniard No. 38631 owned by R Griffin Tre herne will be in Glenboro from Friday night to Monday. Dates for the balance of the season will be arranged. Considered one of the best bred horses in Manitoba, his colts' owners are pleased. He will stand at McKnights' stable.
