Cypress Hotel demolition under way at Cypress River site

The Cypress Hotel complex is being dismantled brick by brick to make way for a new motel. Ed Luschinski’s crew carefully removes thick walls to prevent collapse onto the new hotel built last winter. The old hotel began as two buildings and later operated as one, with a history of owners and events. Local notes list travels and visits among residents, a June family gathering at Spruce Woods Park, and a returnee from Australia. Seeding in the area is near completion with moist land despite low rainfall.
