Ten-year Impact of CED in Ste. Rose du Lac Health Drive

A local development effort in Ste. Rose du Lac began in early 1993 with $650,000 raised to expand health services. The centre now employs 4.5 doctors, adds a fulltime dentist, integrates the Health Department, expands the personal care home, opens a centre for the mentally handicapped and an adult day-care, and acquires two handi-vans and a second pharmacy. In ten years $8 million has been invested, creating 70 full-time jobs. The Local Development Board plans a call centre, a medivac airport, and a beef processing plant, guided by the creed if you want something you have never had you must do something you have never done.
