About 20 Turtle Mountain and Pembina NDP members met July 19 with Bill Regehr and Ron Caballucci at Pilot Mound Legion Hall to discuss government actions and listen to local concerns. Beef Clubs Hold Achievement at Carberry Fair
The Carberry and Glenboro 4-H Beef Clubs showcased at Carberry Fair on July 8 with Brent Stewart judging. Natalie Bund won grand champion with a 1300 lb Charolais steer, Clifford Bund Reserve Grand Champion, and multiple inter club and breed prizes across Charolais Hereford and Simmental events. The sale featured nine 4-H calves and 20 commercial cattle, with top buyers and supporters named.

Trophies Ribbons and Cash Awards at Glenboro Fair
Glenboro Agricultural Society held its annual fair on July 6 and 7 with entries up overall though cattle and horse classes declined. The event featured an M.G.R.A. Horse Show, extensive prize lists by class, and special awards for driving, costume, and junior western events. Top cattle trophies went to junior exhibitors and 4-H members, with grand and reserve champions named in bull and female categories.

Seniors Open Golf Tourney Sees 102 Enter
The annual Senior Men’s Open at Glenboro drew 102 golfers in the over 50 division on Monday July 26. Fred Bjornson and crew prepared the course while ideal weather aided play. Six age groups determined winners with top finishers including Bob Carlson and Allan Frederickson among others.
