Cairn Dedicated for Glencove School
A cairn was unveiled Sunday July 11 1982 to honor Glencove School District 205. Built west of the school, the scale model brick school was crafted by Rudolf Gysin. Attendees included over 200 former pupils teachers and trustees with speeches by Rev Percy Shepherd and Mrs Wylma East.

Glenboro 4-H Calf Club Results At Carberry Show
At Carberry on July 8 Glenboro Beef Club members competed for top awards. Natalie Bund won Grand Champion Steer Inter-Club Grand Champion and Inter-Club Senior Showmanship. Clifford Bund took Reserve Champion Steer and Inter-Club Reserve Champion. Cam Hamilton and Valerie Kovar earned multiple placings including Charolais wins. The Inter-Club Grand Champion Steer sold for 1.20 a lb to Davidson's Meat Market. Glenboro Club averaged 91.6 cents on seven steers.

Canada Dollar Advert Hails New One Dollar Coin
A federal display in the paper promotes a handsome new one dollar coin struck by the Royal Canadian Mint and urges the public to ask for it at bank or post office. The same issue notes the Canadian dollar will soon be down to sixty five cents.
