Council endorses Cypress River well project and rejects gravel tax
The Rural Municipality of South Cypress backs the Cypress River well project while opposing a March 31 gravel tax under provincial plan. The council notes only Manitoba Environment can allocate water and welcomes a future decision by that department, provided proper planning and legislation are followed. The Feb 11 1992 meeting also covers MWSB proposals and road burdens, and South Cypress joins Citizens For Protection of Water in Manitoba with a $100 1992 membership fee.
