Caravan Stops in Glenboro Monday Feb 28
The Regional Analysis Caravan will visit Glennboro Elementary School Auditorium at 2 and 7 30 p m on Monday February 28 with public viewing and involvement for southern Manitoba residents The Department of Industry and Commerce organized the event with Mark Litowicz Ted Dupley Ken Trimble and a local committee named to prepare sessions for youth and community input.

Dowd Rink Wins Aggregate in 66th Annual Bonspiel
Ken Dowd with Wes Brown Gordon Jeffries and Dwayne Dowd of Glenboro captured the C of C Event and Grand Aggregate at the 66th Annual Men's Bonspiel held February 18 19 Forty seven rinks entered the event with weather noted as favorable aside from occasional dripping on the skating ice. Stan Oleson and his rink won the Grand Challenge with Ray Taft Chris Oleson and Rick Cline also from Glenboro taking runner up. Other event winners included Imperial Oil Co Op Farmers Curling Club and Glenboro clubs with separate prize lines and local entries from Pilot Mound Wawanesa and Elgin Wallace and Glenboro. The Caravan Committee invites area residents to Monday’s meeting to discuss community development and share ideas.

Candy Sale Supports Red Cross At Garth McIntyre School
Grades K to 5 raised 38.70 for the Junior Red Cross through a Friday candy sale. Open science displays on Friday and Saturday featured 25 K 3 entries, 38 in 4 6, 39 in 7 9, and 1 in 10 12. Winners include Quentin Hughson, Wade Miller, Elize Christie, and Blair Rankin, with several entries advancing to Brandon on March 17.
