10th Annual Arts West Travelling Gallery in Glenboro
The Arts West Travelling Gallery arrives in Glenboro February 13 and stays at the Glenboro South Cypress Regional Library until March 2. From the 1989 Westman Juried Show in Melita, two Glenboro works, Eileen Jackson's Evening Shadows in watercolour and a Karen Sawatzky oils piece, were selected for the Travelling Gallery among twenty works.

Special Olympics Hosts Winter Games at Spruce Woods Park
The Glenboro area weekend featured the Westman Regional Special Olympics Winter Games with cross country skiing snowshoeing and speed skating. Ninety four athletes and thirty six coaches from seven communities competed as over 70 volunteers supported the event despite the -25 C weather.
