Sailfish Duo Hooks Big Catches Off Ixtapa Holiday
Glenboro pharmacist Bill Smith and Miles Phillips of Boissevain foray into deep sea fishing in Ixtapa. Miles lands a 110 lb sailfish at 9 ft 2 in, Bill follows with a 95 lb catch at 8 ft 6 in. Both fish head to Mexico City for mounting. Canada to see finished mounts in 60 to 90 days.

Manitoba Harness Racing Meet Dates Set for 1992
The 1992 Manitoba Circuit season opens June 6 and 7 in Carman and runs every weekend through September 19 and 20. New tracks at Beausejour and Dauphin join the circuit, while Virden drops out. Minnedosa shifts dates to July. Glenboro hosts the Great Western Stake with a projected purse of 18,000 dollars.

Dave Henlisia and his Killarney rink defeated Glenboro’s Albert Hamilton to win the Glenboro-Mariapolis Co-op event at the 86th Glenboro Men's Bonspiel. Don Barr of Glenboro won the second event over Allan Coates with Barr’s son Eddie among finalists. Trent Thornborough claimed the third event over Tim Nahachewsky. First out of the bonspiel honors went to the Jack Hamilton rink.

Pam Russell Joins 1992 Provincial Honour Choir
Pam Russell of Glenboro, daughter of Jim and Heather Russell, has been accepted to the 1992 Provincial Honour Choirs Conference in Winnipeg. A student of Vera Bjornson, she will sing High Soprano as the choir holds rehearsals Friday and Saturday ahead of Sunday’s 3:00 p.m. concert at the Pantages Playhouse Theatre.
