Glenboro Curling Bonspiel Attracts Rinks And Clergy
The Glenboro bonspiel opens Monday February 3 with opening ceremonies led by Mayor AL Clarke. Rev Maxwell Rev English and Rev Olsen will participate, and about 60 rinks are expected in six events with $1,300 in prizes. The ladies event begins Thursday with around 40 rinks.

The Glenboro Chamber of Commerce convened its first meeting of the year with Howard Foster as president. Attendees included W. R. Jamieson John Robertson and F. Presunka who were named to the resolutions committee. A race day in Glenboro was discussed and Manitoba Great Western Racing Circuit proposals were reviewed. The next meeting is set for March 20 at 7 30 p m.

Cypress River Community Credit Union reported strong early results at its February 9 annual meeting. Since starting operations on June 22, deposits reached 5 349 25 and loans totaled 4 515 00.
