Glenboro Chamber Dinner Marks Plans and Motions 1952
The Glenboro Chamber of Commerce held its first dinner at the Glenboro Hotel with a large member turnout. A moment of silence honored King George VI followed by grace and a Queen Elizabeth I toast. A resolutions committee was formed to prepare provincial and national proposals for the Manitoba Legislature while planning for town car parking, playgrounds, and welfare initiatives. Rawlings Trimble moved to adopt the minutes as read Diehl Graham moved to protest Kurt Meyers release to Germany and demand his return to Canada to serve his life sentence as ordered by the Kurt Meyer War Crimes Commission.

Civic Memorial Service For King George VI Planned
A civic memorial service is set for February 15 at 11 a.m. at the church in memory of the late King George VI. Members of the Men's Legion and Ladies' Aux will gather at 10:30 a.m. at the ICCF Hall and march in formation to the church.
