Family Night a Success at Glenboro Arena
The Glenboro Figure Skating Club held a multi-sport Family Night with 41 skaters in three groups performing figures. Activities included broomball, a basketball game halted by darkness, and a junior hockey match, with a girls vs boys hockey result 2–0. Allan Ojeson won a transistor radio in the club draw.

Nordics Tie MacGregor In Final League Game
Nordics and MacGregor played to a 6 to 6 tie in the last home league game at the arena before a small crowd. Ellwood Shearer and Larry Barr scored twice for the Nordics, Maurice Pickering and Larry McCrady added singles, while MacGregor’s goals came from Titster, Smith Haselwood, McQuiston, Novak, and MacGregor with two by none. Seven penalties were called in a clean contest officiated by Referees Maloney and Hicks of Ninga.

Glenboro Hosts 46th Ladies and 63rd Men's Open Bonspiels
The Glenboro Ladies hold their 46th Annual Bonspiel February 14 to 16 with 30 rinks across eight sheets and a heated spectator gallery. Shirley Patterson of Wawanesa returns as last year’s aggregate winner. The 63rd Annual Men's Open Bonspiel starts February 16 at Glenboro Arena with 42 rinks entered, including Dwight Collins of Pilot Mound and Harv Stinson of Treherne. entries close February 15 with Stan Oleson and Ray Taft. The Ladies banquet Friday evening and Hospital Aid lunches accompany events. the Men’s Smokers and meals finish the day with hospitality for curlers.

Glenboro team leads as semi finals loom after bonspiel week
The Barr-McCrady Shearer line played well for Glenboro with McQuiston and MacGregor shining for the MacGregor team. Semi finals against Crystal City are expected this week with the Nordics to play home games at Baldur as bonspiels take over the arena.
