Masquerade Carnival Lights Glenboro Ice Scene
The second masquerade carnival at Glenboro skating rink drew a large crowd with a colorful costume display. The Argyle brass band performed while skaters and spectators enjoyed the lively event. Winning costumes included Miss P Armstrong and Dr R M Cumberland, with under 16 prizes for Miss E Christie and Archie Barr, plus Alf Wood for best comic. The 6 lap race was won by Miss S Schwalm and Mr E Smeaton.

Baldur Boys Defeat Glenboro In Evenly Matched Hockey Match
The Baldur hockey team played a return match Monday night at 8 with John McLean as referee. Baldur led 4-3 at half and added 3 more to win 7-4 as Glenboro finished respectful but defeated. The game stayed clean with good spirit and solid attendance.

Mock Parliament Debates Compulsory Education Act
The Young People’s Society held its second Mock Parliament session with Mr Bray chairing in Speaker Down’s absence. Premier Huggins urged compulsory schooling to form good citizens, while Opposition critic Ford proposed raising the school age to 14. The session closed after brief speeches and the National Anthem. The next meeting will be a social evening with refreshments for lady members.
