Glenboro Curlers Triumph in Spiel at Wawanesa
Glenboro curlers dominated the Wawanesa Bonspiel with five of nine rinks winning prizes. Lorne McCallum led the Grand Challenge victory with his rink also placing third in the Merchant and winning Grand Aggregate, while K Lyall’s foursome won the Citizens event. RK Sigurdson’s quartet took first in Consolation, and A R Cline earned fourth overall.

44th Annual Bonspiel of the Henboro Curling Club
The Henboro Curling Club announces its 44th annual bonspiel from February 21 to 29 with eight sheets ready for play. Eight sheets of ice, five events, and more than $1,000 in prizes are planned though entries close February 14. Non members pay $16.10 and visiting curlers $8.00.

Obituary for Mrs Elizabeth Smith of Winnipeg Ontario Canada
Funeral services were held at St Stephen's church for Mrs Elizabeth Alice Smith who died at Winnipeg General Hospital aged 83. Born Elizabeth Middleton in England she lived in USA and Canada, served as postmistress until 1949, active in Red Cross and St Stephen's W A, survived by three sons Cyril Roy and Guy M and many grandchildren.

Local Legion Auxiliary Meets Monday in Municipal Office
The Ladies Legion Auxiliary will hold a regular meeting on Monday February 12 at 7 15 pm in the Municipal Office. Lorne Patterson was appointed by the session to succeed E Smith as Superintendent and was installed Sunday morning January 29 1950 with E Smith and Rev W R Donagh participating.

Hospital Aid Valentine tea invites kitchen item list
The notice seeks aluminum kitchen utensils for donation by February 11 and lists items such as double boilers, pots, pans, pots, knives, bowls, tins, canners, toasters, and can openers. A whist drive and dance accompany the event in North-West Hall on February 5th.
Anothers very successful old time dance noted in Glenboro
A dance in the North-West Hall on Thursday February 2 drew 108 paid admissions and $21.00 lunch included. Edwin Campbell donated $1.05 to bring receipts to $82.05. Disbursements totaled $35.30 leaving net proceeds of $46.75. First dance brought $18.19 plus $1.00 from Mr and Mrs Bridie. Grand total in bank $65.45 to be handed to the Hospital Board to cover debt. The Glenboro community shows strong support and enjoyment of the event.

Juvenile and Bantam Playdowns Set For Weekend Hockey
Glenboro faces Holland and Elm Creek in junior and bantam playdowns this week with games on Thursday and Friday evenings. A church service will be held at St. Stephen's Church Sunday evening officiated by Archdeacon Norris of Brandon.
