Union Church Annual Meeting in Town Report
The Union Church annual meeting held January 3rd drew strong attendance and enthusiasm. Officers reported about 5000 dollars raised for all purposes with over 500 pledged for Missions and 164 members. The boards and deacons were re elected and Sunday School work and women’s groups were praised for steady service amid Red Cross drives.

Oddfellows and Rebekahs Host Manitoba Home Fund Night
About a hundred people attended the Manitoba Oddfellowship event by Mizpah No. 12 and the Rebekahs to support a Manitoba Home for dependents. Rev. C B Lawson praised the fraternal group while local talent performed and dancing followed a lunch. A ten acre Winnipeg area site near the old Agricultural College was noted as the future home location.

The Manitoba Winter Fair announces March 4 to 8 for 1918 with prize lists totaling 16000 across horses cattle sheep swine and poultry including a Boys Fat Calf Competition offering 1125.
