Dentist Dr Taylor to Visit Glenboro for Fairday

Local note reports Dr. Taylor the dentist will be in Glenboro on Fairday. It mentions February and Lehigh Valley Anthracite and sour soft coal for salsa at close prices, attributed to J A Smith aged.

Deaths of Mrs Parks and Mr Moggey Boil to Local Death Notices

The town records the passings of Mrs F Parks and Jos Moggey Sr after long illnesses. Mrs Parks, a Nanaimo–Kamloops traveler, died in her local home last Tuesday. Mr Moggey, aged nearly seventy-nine, died after asthma and kidney illness, leaving a large family. Funeral arrangements follow in town churches.

Mr Fredrickson is sway to the city. Mr John Borne of Danrea is a visitor in town this week. J A Lock of Trehern was up to Glenboro last week end. R Steel returned from a trip up the G N W C Railway. Mrs Acklard of Winnipeg visiting daughter Mrs L ee returned home today. Miss Annie Duncan leaves for Winnipeg to study vocal music. Miss B Shipley of Stonewall arrived to join Gazette staff. Mr Jas Division returned from Ontario and reports fine weather and sleighing. Mr Jas Duncan plans a few weeks at a sanitarium in Battle Creek. Dhen and six sons and four daughters survive him. The sons Matthew James and Joseph reside locally John Holland Robert Sturgis S D William Seattle. Daughters Mrs Reid High Bluff Mrs Curtis Miami Mrs Burcill Brandon Mrs Fawcett Dunrea. Bereaved colleagues extend sympathy. Funeral this afternoon at two o'clock.

Mr A Freeman has been seriously ill for a week. Mr and Mrs James Walker returned from their wedding trip on Wednesdays train. Angus accompanies the Wawanesa hockey players on their tour as goalkeeper. Mrs K Brown gave a party to friends on Saturday evening in honor of the Misses Templeton of Belmont. Miss E Fall visiting Miss Henry for a few days at Brunswick Farm. Evangelistic services continue with a large attendance. Mrs and Miss Crake of High Bluff are guests of Mr Wm Crake this week.

Clifton Bank Receives Camp Boys Back Safe

The boys arrived from camp safe and sound and energy fades slowly. Walter Goss leaves for Brandon to enlist in S Africa and Mrs Swire returns with a niece staying in Belmont. A Home gathering at Mr T W Gason Belmont on the 26th. Religious meetings in the school house to be discontinued except Thursdays. Miss M Hamstock of Stockton visited Mr T Sampson last week.

Medal Issued for Fenian Raid Service in 1843

Robert Little received a commemorative medal for his service in the Fenian Raid of 1843. The Sterling silver medal features a red and white ribbon, a clasp inscribed Fenien Raid 1836, and a Queen bust with Victoria Regina et Emperatrix. The obverse shows the Dominion flag within a maple wreath and Canada. The owner’s name is engraved on the rim. minting occurred at the Royal Mint in England.
