Silver Medal Contest at Stockton Held in Methodist Church
Five contestants competed in Stockton Friday in a Silver Medal contest at the Methodist Church. Ena Thompson sang The Bridal Wine Cup, Agnes McNeish presented The Burden of the Bar Room, Pearl Ranks delivered Alcohol and Little Boy Blue, Ruby Ranks performed The Face on the Bar Room Floor, and Esther Powell offered A Vivid Illustration. The medal went to Pearl Ranks. Solo and ensemble numbers accompanied by club swinging filled the program. Judges were Miss McNair of Methven, Miss Taylor, and Rev. Mr. Taylor of Glenboro. A Gold Medal contest is planned soon.
