Cypress River and District 1981 in Review by Jeanette Benny
The Cypress River community reflects on a busy 1981 with curling bonspiels won by Gordon Kentner and Susan Dowd, a Sno-Mo Derby, a renamed Ice Review, and a $5000 provincial gift for local recreation. New houses, arrivals, church centennial, post office birthday, ball tournament triumph, and the 74th fair marked a year of growth and renewal.
