Treherne RCMP report include phone frauds and several incidents
Treherne Detachment logged 58 complaints in a busy period. Incidents include two phone frauds promising prizes for fees, theft of lights from an MTS tower near Glenboro, a breathalyzer case in Treherne, a shoplifting report, a hit and run on a Rathwell bridge, a window break in Glenboro, and gas missing from a rural South Norfolk resident.

Glenboro captures Provincial A Girls Volleyball title in Treherne
Glenboro School girls volleyball team won the Provincial A Championship in Treherne November 24 to 26. They topped round robin at 6 and 2, beat Treherne and Hamiota in playoffs, then defeated Green Valley Grunthal 2 games to 1 in the final 15-3 11-15 15-3. Coach Kevin Newton credited alumni and Daryl Ford for the program’s success.

Mamie Anderson of Glenboro School daughter of Wayne and Maureen Cypress River was named Rural Athlete of the Week after last Saturday recognized by Manitoba High School Athletic Associations. She stars on Glenboro girls volleyball and was also named MVP at the Provincial A Girls Volleyball Championship in Treherne held November 24 to 26.
