Arthur Miller of Rapid City, born in Glenboro, is reported killed in action. Paul B. Paulson telegram reports head wound. admitted to 11th Military Hospital in Rouen on August 2. Harry Lalonder wounded in hand. Harry Jewsbury shot in ankle and leg. Community offers sympathy and prayers for full recovery.

Mr. F Manning editor and proprietor of the Reston Rec, with Mrs. Manning and three children, and Mr. and Mrs. Act Manning, spent Saturday and Monday in Glenboro on their way home from Roland. He is a notable Manitoba country town publisher with a linotype machine. His brother teaches at Reston School.

Mrs Peter Paulson Laid to Rest in Aug Rosters

Mrs Peter Paulson died in the Victoria Hospital Winnipeg after a prolonged illness. Born in Iceland on November 6 1853 she came to Canada in pioneer days and married Peter Paulsen at Gimli. The family settled near Glenboro later retiring to Skalholt Mansion then Arnaud Manitoba. Surviving children John in Alaska Oscar in King Edward Man Lorenzo Arnold at Arnaud. Funeral held in Skalholt Hall with Rev Fr Hailgumson officiating.

Western Canada to contest for Silver Cup wheat prize

The Department of Colonization and Development of the Canadian Pacific Railway offers a Five Hundred Dollar Silver Cup for the best bushel of Hard Spring Wheat exhibited at the International Soil Products Exposition in Kansas City, Missouri, October 16 21, 1918.
