Louise Fraser skip and her rink Marge Dowd Pearl Joel and Dorothy Cassick won Glenboro Ladies’ Curling Club Champs for 1972-73 with a 17-5 season. They receive the Inland Trust trophy at the annual meeting amid a four way second place tie and a season of multiple event winners including the Oscar Brown Memorial Trophy.

Central Hospital Aid Meeting Reports Items and Plans
The March 20 meeting, led by vice-president Ida Sanderson, had nine members present. Camille Hospital Guild donated new adult books, material for men’s pyjamas and towelling were shared, and a nurse residence chesterfield was reupholstered. A suggestion box, ward TV, and a regional Carman meeting on May 9 at 2 pm were announced. The next regular meeting is May 15 at 2:30.

Tiger Hills School Division approves debentures and new office
At the 6th meeting in Glenboro on March 27, the Tiger Hills Division Board authorized signing $450,000 debentures with the Public Schools Finance Board and accepted village land for the new central divisional office. They approved a Pilot Mound School telephone system, revised office plans at Gilenso ro, and adjusted bus driver pay and route costs. Scholarships for Grade 12 were set for four high schools with four named award categories.

The Tog gery Shop held a Spring Fashion Show at the 1 C C F Hall in Glenboro. Models displayed sports dress and formal wear for children, girls and ladies with Mrs D McKay as commentator. M and E Ceramics showcased student work and Mrs M Doreen Bjornson presented a flower fantasy. Dolores Ehnes won a spruce tree dish, Mrs Jack Sullivan won an open mouth frog, Sigrun Sigurdson won flowers, and Twyla Ehnes took the Big Rabbit draw. Lunch followed the event.
