Mr T J Dempsey of Pibbon Mendooran died in Sydney after months of illness. He had been a patient at Coonabarabran District Hospital and was transported to Sydney for treatment. The funeral was held at Manly. he leaves a widow and two daughters named Gerald and Miss Joan with Mrs T Bradley in Coonsborebran as a survivor.

A New Wheat Regalia Harvest at Tooraweenah

Sown in May and fed by two sheep to the sere until late August the crop yields nine pounds per acre. The Victorian Department of Agriculture produced this winter hard wheat which resembles Federation wheat and is drought resistant and suitable to light soil.
