Silo Opening Wanted by Eumungerie Farmers
A meeting of the Eumungerie branch of the Farmers and Settlers Association reported stripping had begun and yields surpassed expectations. Members urged Wheat Board and the Government grain elevators to plan extra silo capacity for excess wheat and requested the silo open by November 11. Stolen Car Recovered After River Castlereagh Incident
A car owned by Mrs. Laughton of Dubbo, stolen Thursday night, was found abandoned in the Castlereagh River bed about two miles from Gilgandra. First-Class Constable Dickson recovered the vehicle and returned it to Dubbo on Friday morning after Mr. Roub notified police.
