Horse Stealing Trial Ends With Not Guilty Verdict
Arthur Harold Lawson, station manager, was tried at Orange General Sessions for stealing two mares from Gordos Leeds. Witnesses described a chestnut mare left at Quirk's and a brown mare, with Lawson claiming ownership or uncertainty of Leeds' mare. After hours of testimony, the jury returned a not guilty verdict and Lawson was discharged.
