Munro Wins At Mendooran In 36 Hole Golf Event

Ghandra Golf Club hosted the Mendooran annual tournament with F Munro taking the 36 hole scratch title. W John captured the morning 16 hole event while L D Serister won the holy eclectic, B Gould placed second, and a four man team finished second in the teams event. W Johnson carded five under par in the morning. The event drew players from surrounding clubs including Gulargembone, and officials praised the hospitality and course conditions.

The usual monthly Gilgandra War Memorial Literary Institute committee meeting was held in the meeting room on Thursday night. The secretary noted a letter of appreciation to Secretary Mr M Bogey. The committee reported purchasing books valued at £18 now in the Whoury.
