Music by Armstrong's orchestra, decorations by Miss Martin of Sydney, and supper by district ladies highlighted a well-organized event, though turnout was lower than hoped. Mr T. L. Waterford served as MC, with Mr. Foley, Frank Rohr, G. Balderston and A. Balderston assisting. winners of the waltzing and £1 competitions included Mr. and Mrs. A. Praxer and Miss K. Rogers respectively.

Diggers Bid Farewell to Mr Bede Ellery in Gilgandra
Over thirty Diggers gathered at Tattersall's Hotel for a valedictory to Mr Bede Ellery who is leaving Gilgandra after years of League service. President F O Kiely led tributes praising his public spirit and work for the Returned Soldiers' League. Ellery accepted a fountain pen gift, thanked the sub branch, and pledged to remain a member and assist the Athletic Club, urging Diggers to support club nights and recruit new players and families.

At a well attended Tooraweenah A and H Association meeting held at the showground the chair noted the loss of two respected members Thon Fyfe and Wot. Baker. The society offered sympathy and decided to record their names. Debate over a special prize for a Clydesdale horse led to refusal. Plans were approved to enlarge the lavatory, build fourteen horse stalls and hire an officer for three months with telephone installation.

Warrant Officer James Ray Maitland dies at Prince of Wales Hospital Randwick after a bullet remained embedded between lung and heart for 16 years and caused complications.
