Man Fatally Shot Near Narromine in Regional Camp

A man named John Cameron, about 29, was found with a bullet wound at a riverbank camp on the Macquarie River near Narromine. Cameron, believed to be from Cunnamilla, was en route for work and may have visited a brother in Narromine recently. He was transported to District Hospital arriving around 1.20 pm.

Car Crash Returns Home From Gilgendra

Charles Arthur Middleton aged 30 manager at Narr mine for the Shell Company suffered a badly lacerated wrist when thrown from his car on the Ni romine road nine miles from Dubbo. A back tyre blew out near Gilgendra as he was returning home. His right hand caught in a door glass during the toss, causing abrasion. Mr Geo Mak of Narromine assisted until the Dubbo ambulance transported him to Dublin District Hospital. The car was not badly damaged.

Fell From High Pine Tree Injures Young Man

Norman Wheatle wadre, a young man, fell about 45 to 60 feet while fixing a wire atop a tree near Castlereagh River on Sunday. He landed on an empty oil drum, suffered injuries to the back and a broken left hand, was given first aid, and taken to Lise Arjot Hospital for shock and treatment.
