Elsie Muriel Rowe, 35, fainted beside her car in the garage after returning from a shopping trip and died from fumes. Acting City Coroner Mr T Wood concluded the inquest last week, finding no evidence of foul play. Raymond Reginald Rouse, a chartered accountant and Rowe’s brother, described their Cammeray home and the moment he discovered the darkened house and the running car engine in the garage. He noted all preparations had been made to depart and described the seat near the car where Rowe sat.
