Pebbles on the Beach and Global Oddities

A fragmented 19th century style bulletin notes medical advice for consumptives, a Liverpool Docks spectacle with a steamer Transporter, and reflections on wealth and happiness. It mentions the British Tease Union, a new food preservation process by Isadore Haslaire of Brussels, and flow of New South Wales finances. Other items include a Will proposal for shutting shops, women’s parliamentary franchises, a Lincoln ram wool record, a Bushkill visit by royalty, the Parnell monument, and odd local clippings from Sydney and Canberra to Yass. The miscellany also covers a murder verdict in Weet Murray, telegraph memories, and a joke about a steak found by perseverance.
