Cemetery Board committee report names burial ground plan
A cemetery board meeting at Council Chambers discussed site options for burials. The committee recommended allotting the block between Wesleyan and Presbyterian grounds to the Roman Catholic community, while suggesting the Church of England ground behind the Roman Catholic portion be shared with the Jewish community if agreeable. The new cemetery location was deemed distant and too stony.
