New Dog Species Unearthed by Andes Surveyors

A party of surveyors in Ecuador’s high Andes has discovered a new canine species that resembles a badger more than a dog. It has a pointed nose, mouse-gray woolly fur, a flat beaver-like tail with side fringe hairs, and black-tipped back tufts. Only two specimens, the shin and skulls, remain in Pais.
