Fatal Holiday Accident Near Three Springs
A Sunday morning crash on the Great Northern Highway, four miles north of Three Springs, killed Norman Leslie Thompson a Geraldton Newspapers Limited printer’s machinist. His wife survived with injuries after a sun glare caused a head on collision with a roadside post and vehicle in bush. Mrs Thompson walked half a mile to summon help, was treated at North Midlands District Hospital, and is expected to convalesce with relatives in Albany. The funeral was held at Karrakatta Anglican Cemetery with Geraldton staff and officials among mourners.
