Messrs Elder Swith and Company Limited report a small clearing sale at Northampton on the 26th on behalf of G Clifton and Son with strong attendance. There was keen competition for stock as just over four hundred sheep were sold at varied prices including ewes, hoggets, weaners, and young wethers, reflecting a steady demand and mixed lots across breeds.
Smith & Company report a successful market at Northampton with 1,207 sheep sold and a strong turnout from Geraldton Mullewa Mingenew Three Springs. Prices showed firm values as buyers from the district and beyond competed for well grown Merino and Border Leicester lots, with yarding noted as exceptionally good and most animals in good order.
Passengers traveling by the Midland Railway between Perth and Geraldton are listed for two trips. Friday's Perth to Geraldton run included J Barton M Reynolds H Smith R Besant W Bezant Reed Rev Father OCollins and several ladies and children. Saturday's Geraldton to Perth run lists Booth G Marsland D Quartersman R Morgan and many others with Miss Leen P McGovern FH Hankes N Harvey P Brice and more.
