The piece mocks a regional appeal to the Queensland government for work as Western Australians fret over land employment and rail promises. It notes timber workers moving to Queensland, questions Perth press bias, and rails at the North’s railway hopes, town hall disputes, and a referendum plan on preferred town hall sites with government offers ranging around 42,000 to 48,000.
A circular from the Chin Electoral Officer Mr B G Stenberg urges electors to inspect the new state electoral roll for Geraldton Greenough and other districts. It warns the general election looms in October and stresses checking names at public offices and Guardian office for eligibility.
