Greenough Centenary Harul Cap Tennis Tournament

During the Greenough Centenary celebrations an open harul cap tennis event was held at Walkaway courts on Friday to Sunday with a large entry and favorable weather. Final results include Mina Morrell defeating Misa Tomsett 6-4 4-4 (note: OCR error) in singles, Morrell and Morrell winning women's doubles 6-3 6-2, Jones and Haslam defeating Jones and Anderson 4-1 in men's doubles, with two finals remaining in mixed doubles and men singles.

Red Cross Society Geraldton Branch mobilizes funds and volunteers

The Geraldton Branch of the Red Cross Society has begun active preparations to raise funds for starting relief work. A Penny Trail is planned from Darcher Street to Cathedral Avenue on Friday afternoon to spur public donations. Early donations include amounts from Mrs. K. J. Competition was keen and values firm as exporters and graziers chased medium wethers, light aged ewes, and lambs in the wool. Lambs yarded total 7 704, including 7 137 suckers, with improved quality and firm values as exporters lifted 2 100 head. Cattle total 251 with high quality bullocks and good weight steers meeting solid demand and prices.
