The May period showed varied weather with a dry spell and late frosts affecting sowing and pastures. Farmers anticipated delayed winter and seeding, crops mostly held up, but some suffered from dryness. Large stock remained steady while water supplies dwindled and animal fodder grew scarce in southern areas.

The Rasd Board graded eight miles of the road from Meekatharra to Wiluna at £2 12s 10d per mile, covering wages fuel and sundry repairs. The venture aims to save costs and improve efficiency while considering future extensions and power plant upgrades for day and night service. Mr Crothers plans to install a newer engine and power equipment by August to support improved domestic and business comforts and demonstrations.
The Greenagh Road Board met on Wednesday June 4 with members Duncan Armstrong Dunes Anderson Thompson Readhead and Broad present and Mrs Clinch absent. Items include questioning firearm registration necessity, workers compensation premiums, traffic act fees, road closure proposals, and road grading projects with Local Works and Department of Agriculture correspondence noted.
