From Our Correspondent July 26 Northampton reports 160 points of rain last week, 300 for July to date, and 1 466 for seven months. Crops look well and farmers expect a good season. The week featured a Delos light demonstration at the Railway Hotel by George Wills and Co and a lively program at King's Hall despite heavy rain. Performances drew loud applause, with many encores, followed by a dance into the small hours. Weather has been wet but sometimes cold since the interval rains.
